Tampaksiring Temple is a holy spring water temple. This pool is sanctified by the Hindu society in Bali as they believe that the water can heal various diseases, hence a popular spot for both the locals and tourists. Throughout the ages, humans have been searching for miracles and some people would accept anything that is extraordinary as being miraculous. Majority would not hesitate to follow suit, having the notion of "there's nothing to lose". The locals, ranging from infants to the aged would submerge themselves inside the pool while some tourists would queue up with empty bottles to collect the "holy" water. Others would either wash their faces in the pool or simply dip their hands in the water with the hope that a miracle would happen.
This reminded me of a verse in the Bible taken from John 10:25 - Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me..." Yet, we turn our backs on Him and seek elsewhere for miracles but the good news is Jesus still loves us and will give us our miracles if we will seek Him in faith. God bless...
